Original antique albumen cabinet card photograph showing what appears to be an elderly farmer with a long, flowing white beard and wide-brimmed hat and his feed grinding mill, circa 1890s–1900s.

Features a crisp, clear studio portrait or occupational photo of the man positioned beside the large feed grinding mill. Handwritten faintly on the back is an identification that appears to read something like “the little [gingo/jingo], feed grinding mill.” Feed (grist) mills like this one were common on farms and in rural agricultural communities, where they were used to grind grain into livestock feed.

Albumen print mounted on original cabinet card stock with dark border. Card measures approximately 4.25 x 6.5 inches.

A wonderful and unusual, character-filled piece for collectors of occupational photography, American West memorabilia, agricultural history, or historical farming equipment.
