Coral bean is a deciduous, thorny, shrub that grows to a height of 3' – 6’.

In frost free areas it can reach a height of 15 feet or more.

In the home landscape it grows in part shade to full sun with average to dry soil moisture.

The flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies.
