Vintage water pitcher with lots of embellishments!
The main part of the
pitcher is a dimpled, frosted, bulbous glass, adorned with hand painted enamel
flowers.
There is an intricate
twisted rope applied around the neck and attached as a handle. See the photos
for how the rope is finished off at the end of the handle. Such masterful
craftsmanship!
Above the neck is an
amber stained ruffle top.
You can see small
bubbles on some areas of the glass.
Not marked but believe
it is New England Pomona or Midwestern Pomona.
Measures 8-1/2 inches
in height to the top of the highest ruffle point x 7-1/2 inches across measured
at its widest to the end of the handle. Measures 3-1/2 inches in diameter,
measured at the bottom.
There are no chips or
cracks on this pitcher / vase. There is minor wear seen at the bottom as would
be expected from a piece this old.
