This Russell & Erwin 1840's rim lock is cast iron. The lock is a right hand only Carpenter style rim lock which can be used for interior or exterior use. The door knobs are mineral  and the lock itself measures 5" X 3-3/4 inches high with the keeper being 1-1/8 inches wide.
