This Beautiful American Brilliant Cut Glass (1876-1916) Compote features stars, pinwheels and deep cut fans on an octagonal bowl with sawtooth edges and a six-sided tapered zipper cut footed pedestal. It measures approximately 7" tall x 7" in diameter and weighs 2.75 lbs. In complete darkness it has a faint yellow glow under blacklight. Some wear on the underside of the base consistent with age and use; only a few very tiny chips noted which are very difficult to see. No cracks, it rings beautifully when tapped.
