Ihagee Parvola (Klein-Ultrix) 1450 – Rare 3×4 cm Camera, s/n 362784 with Schneider Xenar 3.5/5cm – Fully Working – Excellent Condition

For sale is a beautiful and fully functional Ihagee Parvola 1450 (3×4 cm), a highly collectible pre-war camera manufactured by Ihagee Dresden, Germany, during the 1930s. The Parvola is well known for its unusual double-helical focusing system, which replaces the traditional bellows and gives the camera its distinctive appearance and compact design. It was produced from approximately 1931 to 1939 and is considered one of Ihagee's most interesting roll-film cameras.

The cosmetic condition is very nice. See photos. The stickers have minimal wear. Chromes are fine.
The shutter is dry, it always works exactly. Focusing is easy, the lock is functional. I rate the Xenar sensor lens as very great. No shallow scratches from cleaning, minimal dust or micro defects. Only when viewed from behind.
The aperture is dry and functional, a little stiffer. After the first use it goes easier.
Focus handle goes slightly and easily, without rubbing and force. Everything else is mechanically functional, tested with film 127. Shift film is fine. The film was not invoked.
The camera is completely cleaned. Everything is clean and lubricated.
The leather camera case is in good condition. Leather items are treated with natural leather preservatives. A very nice piece in the collection.
I am offering it as a collector's item. I also recommend it for photography.

Collector's Note
The Parvola is increasingly sought after by collectors of German cameras and Ihagee equipment. Examples fitted with Schneider Xenar lenses are considerably more desirable than the basic Anastigmat versions and are appreciated both as display pieces and as usable vintage cameras.
The camera is offered in excellent vintage condition and would make a superb addition to any collection of pre-war photographic equipment.
