An old postcard of WW1 tank the FEARLESS which was a real tank set up as a memorial to the First World War on Butts Close in Hitchin. The monument was closed in 1937 when the tank was sold for scrap metal. Postally used. Great bit of local social history. There is creasing wear on the top left hand corner (see scan). Published locally by Carling & Hales Ltd, 27 Marketplace Hitchin.

Please do check the photo as some older postcards do suffer from minor creases, light bumping etc. I will always highlight any significant flaws that can't be seen in the picture.

Check out my shop for a wide range of topographical (and other) postcards.
