Here is the Elephant figurine from the Whimsie-Land wildlife series.

From 1984 through 1988, the Wade organization began producing figurines for groups of series that were hand decorated under glaze and were slightly larger with more details than any of the Whimsies figurines. Originally, in general, each series or set was only available for one year.

The 1984/5 set was known as Wildlife and consisted of five figurines. A custom presentation box was provided for each figurine. (Not included for this listing).

This figurine is one of twenty-five from the Whimsie-Land Series including set 1 from 1984 (Pet presentation boxes): Retriever, Puppy, Rabbit, Kitten and Pony; set 2 from 1984/5 (Wildlife presentation boxes): Lion, Tiger, Elephant, Panda and Giraffe; set 3 from 1985 (Farmyard presentation boxes): Rooster, Duck, Cow, Pig and Goat; set 4 from 1986 (Hedgerow presentation boxes): Fox, Owl, Hedgehog, badger and Squirrel; set 5 from 1987 (British Wildlife presentation boxes): Pheasant, Field Mouse, Golden Eagle, Otter and Partridge.
