Original etching 53 x 41 cms.The etching represents a plan and view of both temples: Vesta (s I BC) and the the Sibilla temple at Tivoli (S II AD) that was a group of monuments of inspiration for painters and artists during the Grand Tour in the XVIII and XIX century.The temple has nowadays few remains.During Middle Age the temple was a church dedicated to S Giorgio.The Vesta temple with only 10 columns standing nowadays was the circular temple of clear greek inspiration( Tholos) dedicated to Vesta to keep the sacred fire.
