Large Heavy Franklin Mint Gold on Sterling Silver Perfect Blossom Chrysanthemum Design Pendant Necklace.

The pendant measures 3.8cm in diameter. On one side it has a stylised chrysanthemum flower. The other side has a poem in Japanese  by the 9th century Japanese poet Narlhira Ariwara, which and translates into English as follows: 

"I plant this flower for you with all the sincerity that my heart can give.

It is a flower that awaits the coming of Autumn.

And, even if it should wither and its petals scatter thereafter,

The root will live on to bloom in beauty in the years to come - for ever." 

The edge is stamped 925 with the F mark for Franklin Mint and some Japanese symbols.
