Feeder service was inaugurated over Air Mail Route 94 from New York City to Buffalo by Robinson Airlines on September 19, 1948. Teterboro Airport was used as the New York City terminal. Binghamton, Endicott, and Johnson City were all served through the Broome County Airport.
Douglas DC-3 aircraft were utilized.

A change in ownership resulted in the airline changing its name to Mohawk Airlines on August 23, 1952.
On April 12, 1972, the Civil Aeronautics Board approved the merger of Mohawk Airlines with Allegheny Airlines, with Allegheny Airlines (later renamed USAir and US Airways) as the surviving company. The takeover was completed by June 1, 1972.
