You are looking at a used vintage
5x14: 1963 Rogers Tower White Marine Pearl snare drum #1316
This is an early 3ply bread and butter Jasper shell with 8 lugs.
This is one of the last of the B&B shells with the sharper bearing edges.
All the B&B lugs have one or two cracks and will tune up.
Both of the high hoops are very nice, no steel wool.
This one has the early 4point throw off with extended handle.
This one has factory snare beds.
This one was factory built with no tone control ever.
new Ambassador heads.
flat grey paint inside .
This one has eight bread and butter lugs.
Cleveland serial number #1316
It has the correct original Rogers tall boy rims, and tension rods,
It has a new set of Puresound wires.
The size is 5x14.
Year is about 1963 give or take a year.
This snare drum could be a good players drum as is.
There are scuffs and scratches and some chrome rim pimples.
Tension rods are all matching original Rogers rods, and washers.
and are probably original to this drum.
It has no extra holes.
The working strainer has some chrome pimples, too.
The batter head is a new REMO Ambassador coated white head Made in U.S.A.
The snare head is a new REMO Ambassador snare side hazy Made in U.S.A.
The new PURESOUND snare wires are missing no wires, they are straight and working good.
The wood shell has reinforcement rings.
The flat grey paint inside is in fine condition.
The bearing edges are good.
This drum itself weighs about 6 pounds and 5.0 ounces.
If you can use a drum like this, don’t miss out.
I myself love and play wood body Rogers snare drums.
