Here is a beautiful sterling silver spoon dating back to years around 1900 featuring a nice design pattern handle bent to form a baby spoon and having engraved initials. In the bowl it has embossed detailed home scene with fireplace, rocking chair, dog and lady looking out the window, the writing is “OLD MOTHER HUBBARD”, so adorable! Measures 3-1/2” long (88 mm), weights 17.4 grams, condition of the spoon is vintage with some uneven surfaces, see pictures. On the back marked STERLING and has hallmark with the old mark of H on a pennant for Mechanics Sterling Company, which was subsidiary of Watson Newell Co. Shipping on multiple purchases is gladly combined. Please see other, some rare, collector spoons I'm currently listing.

More on the nursery rhyme:

Old Mother Hubbard

Went to the Cupboard,

To give the poor Dog a bone;

When she came there,

The Cupboard was bare,

And so the poor Dog had none.

She went to the Baker's

To buy him some Bread;

When she came back

The Dog was dead!

She went to the Undertaker's

To buy him a coffin;

When she came back

The Dog was laughing.
