Antique Indian Copper Paan Daan Betel Nut Set — Embossed Box, Katoris, Tray & Accessories, 19th–Early 20th Century

A wonderful and complete antique Indian paan daan set — the traditional South Asian betel preparation ensemble used for storing and serving the ingredients of paan (betel leaf, areca nut, lime paste, cardamom, and other spices).

The set includes:

All pieces fit nicely into the box.

All pieces display authentic age patina, honest use wear, and surface oxidation consistent with genuine 19th to early 20th century Indian copper work. The engraving and repousse work on the main box and tray are particularly fine, with dense floral motifs throughout.

Condition: Age-appropriate patina and wear throughout. No major structural damage. The base of the main box shows heavy exterior oxidation (zinc/tin coating worn to bare metal with scratching) — interior and top surfaces retain warm copper tones. Small pieces show varying degrees of patina and tinning wear.

Dimensions: Please measure and insert — box is 4 1/2" diameter × 4" H; tray is 4 1/2" diameter.

A striking display grouping for a collection of world antiques, Indian folk art, or global copper metalwork. Increasingly sought by collectors of South Asian decorative arts.
