Civil Defense Helmet - MSA Skullgard – Vintage Cold War Era - Black Fiberglass

 

Vintage black fiberglass MSA Skullgard Civil Defense helmet.

 

Features a distinctive triangular CD symbol on the front, representing the United States Civil Defense.

Helmet design is reminiscent of a traditional fireman's helmet, popular during the Cold War era for search and rescue or auxiliary police roles.

 

Vintage, for sure, given the estate source and condition, likely dates to the 1950’s / 60’s…  no ZIP code on the underside label… points to pre-1964….

Overall Very Good vintage condition.

All-original and as-found.   Missing liner and strap.

Minimal wear, slight soiling.
