ASUS, HP Pavilion x2, GeoBook Laptops, NVIDIA Quadro P4000 Graphics Card, OCZ 480GB PCI-e SSD, 2 DVDRW Drives & 8 Hard Drives Product Description
This auction is for a job lot of faulty / spares or repair items comprising of an ASUS U500v, an HP Pavilion x2 & a GioBook 1M laptops, an NVIDIA Quadro P4000 Graphics Card, an OCZ 480GB PCI-e SSD, 2 Slimline DVD/RW Optical Drives (One Internal & one external USB) & 8 hard drives.
Some of these items were in working order the last time they were tested, However some items will be dead & will only be good for their parts, whereas other items will be repairable if you have the knowledge & some of the hard drives are fully functional.
Full details of each item & any known faults will be specified below, however please be aware that this is not a full diagnosis & is only the faults I'm aware of.
These items are being sold for spares or repair & returns are not accepted.
Details & Known Faults of Each Item ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) ASUS ZenBook U500v 15.6" 1920 x 1080p FHD Laptop, Intel i7 3612QM, NVIDIA Geforce GT650 2GB, 8GB DDR3 Memory, 256GB Solid State Drive
Known Faults The ASUS ZenBook U500v Laptop no longer powers on & has visible cosmetic damage, however I do believe this could be repaired as it had visible damage when I aquired it & it was working perfectly but had no charger so I bought what I thought was the correct replacement, but it doesn't fit the port properly & no longer charges.
The laptop has been sat in a drawer for 3 years so the battery may well be dead & need replacing & the correct charger purchasing & it might work again, but I can't guarantee it as there is some visible cosmetic damage where it looks like the chassis has bent slightly, which is the reason I acquired it.
Like I said it was working when I acquired it, so it may well be repairable but it's not guaranteed & it would obviously be the cost of the battery & charger vs what the laptop would be worth.
This laptop would be good to salvage for the parts inside as it is complete & all components like the Intel Core i7-3612QM CPU, 256GB SSD, NVIDIA GT650M 2GB Graphics Card, 8GB DDR3 Memory & The Motherboard, The display & keyboard are all intact, as is all of the internal wiring.
There is the possiblity there could be a motherboard issue as some of the ports look like they may have damaged, But all of the other components should be working, Again this is only an assumption going from what I know about this device.
I believe these to be the correct specifications (Listed Below) as they correspond to the product identifiers on the back cover of the laptop.

2) HP Pavilion x2 13.3" HD Touchscreen 2-in-1 Tablet / Laptop, Intel i3 4012Y, Intel HD 4400 Graphics, 4GB DDR3L, 500 GB Solid-State Hybrid Drive
Known Faults The HP Pavilion x2 13.3" HD touchscreen 2-in-1 tablet / laptop no longer powers on & has 4 missing keys from the keyboard, however I do believe this could be repaired as it was powering on & letting me access the system bios & under the boot device list the 500GB solid state hybrid drive was visible as a bootable device, but when I tried installing Windows it didn't see the hard drive & failed to install.
I did manage to install linux on the laptop but it then sat unused for 3 years & when I test it now there's no power, so I assume the battery is dead & I don't know if I'm using the correct charger as it's a universal charger.
The laptop has been sat in a drawer & unused for 3 years so the battery may well be dead & need replacing & the correct charger purchasing, also 4 keys are missing on the keyboard & it might work again, but I can't guarantee it.
Like I said it was working when I acquired it, so it may well be repairable but it's not guaranteed & it would obviously be the cost of the battery, mains charger & replacement keys vs what the laptop would be worth.
This laptop would be good to salvage for the parts inside & the display.
I believe these to be the correct specifications (Listed Below) as I remember them (No product identifiers on the back cover of the laptop so I'm unable to verify)

3) GeoBook 1M 11.6" Full HD (1920 x 1080p) Dual Core Laptop, Intel® Celeron® N4000 Processor, 32 GB eMMC, 4 GB LPDDR4
Known Faults The GeoBook 1M 11.6" Full HD (1920 x 1080p) Dual Core Laptop looks brand new but there was no charger with it when it was acquired so I purchased a generic replacement from eBay which was supposed to be the right one but it didn't go in the port correctly & I suspect it's the wrong charger.
I don't know if the laptop is repairable but it is suitable to salvage for parts as the chassis & display look new & the internal parts dhould be good, although there seems to be a fault somewhere as it doesn't power on, but it could be a fault with the battery or charger.
I believe these to be the correct specifications (Listed Below) as they correspond to the product identifiers on the back cover of the laptop.

4) NVIDIA Quadro P4000 8GB GDDR5 PCI-e 3.0 x16 Graphics Card
Known Faults The NVIDIA Quadro P4000 8GB GDDR5 PCI-e 3.0 x16 Graphics Card was brand new when it was purschased for a customer upgrade that never happened & it was sat untested for a while so the warranty had expired.
The graphics card was last tested around 3 years ago in 2 PC's & has been stored in the anti static bag since then, The 1st PC refused to boot & emmited error beeps & the 2nd PC booted to Windows 10 but the display showed artefacts, Which I suspect means the graphics card may have been overheating suggesting it could need opening & cleaning of the area where there's old thermal paste & applying new thermal paste to improve the cooling.
There are other causes to a graphics card overheating so I can't guarantee this will resolve the issue, it's just a suggestion & explanation of the suspected fault.
The specifications below are correct as per the NVIDIA website

5) OCZ RevoDrive 3 Max IOPS Internal PCI-e 2.0 x4 Solid State Drive (SSD)
Known Faults The OCZ RevoDrive 3 Max IOPS Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) was in perfect working order when it was removed from a PC for upgrading & it was stored in a drawer for 3 years & when I've examined it one of the memory chips has come away from the main board & it was loose in the anti static bag, so it must have happened while it was in storage (Please see the XL photo's at the top of the eBay page).
The OCZ SSD may be repairable but I have no knowledge of this type of repair so it may only be good for salvage.

DELL Vostro 3559 Slimline DVD/RW Optical Drive pn 048CF4 & Caddy
Known Faults The DELL Vostro 3559 Slimline DVD/RW Optical Drive pn 048CF4 & Caddy was removed from a working DELL Vostro Laptop as it was not visible in This PC or Device Manager & I was unable to work out why, So I'd assume that it is faulty, Also the front bezel comes off but still clip back on.
May be repairable or good for parts.
Unfortunately I am unable to find the specifications for this item but it is compatible with the DELL Inspiron 3559 Laptop & other Inspiron models & it is compatible with the DELL Optiplex 9020 Slimline PC.
This item is also known to have the part numbers - 048CF4, 48CF4, 023HW6, 23HW6, 0T99YY, T99YY

Slimline External USB DVD/RW Optical Drive & Caddy
Known Faults The Slimline External USB DVD/RW Optical Drive & Caddy was powering on the last time it was used around 3 years ago but it was struggling to read an old music CD I had as everything is in digital format these days & I don't own any other CD's.
I strongly suspect that this item will work but may be temperamental with certain brands of CD's, Although it has been sat unused for a long time & will probably require a clean internally & I don't have a device I can use to test it as it requires a device with 2 USB ports & my laptop only has one port, so as with the rest of the items in this listing I can't give any guarantees that it will work.
Unfortunately I am unable to find the specifications for this item but it is compatible with any device that has two USB ports.

8 Hard Drives with various capacities
These 8 hard drives are a mix of faulty & working items, although I think it's only the low capacity drives that work.
Below are the model numbers for each drive & their working status.
The hard drives were tested before being stored in anti static bags for the last 3 years.
They were tested by installing them in a PC & seeing if they were visible in Windows Disk Management.
The hard drives that were visible in Windows Disk Management & allowed me to create a healthy partition I have deemed as working but no further testing has been done.
