CITIZEN became a corporate sponsor of the program in 2019. Following the 2023 Mission 1, which obtained valuable data necessary for realizing a lunar landing, CITIZEN will be providing Super Titanium™*1 as a component of the landing legs in the upcoming Mission 2,

The middle links of the bracelet are made of recrystallized titanium, a new material with unique crystal patterns on the surface that ensure that no two watches are the same. The mysterious patterns echo the endless black vastness of outer space and the monochromatic dial has three dimensional black crystal patterns accented by numerous small black components, creating a multi-layered structure combining varying shades of black. The city names on the sapphire bezel and the outer ring on the dial provide glittering silver accents, bringing to mind the image of a bright light shining in the darkness.

The watch provides incredible functionality – it is equipped with CITIZEN’s F950 movement, the ultimate movement for light-powered Eco-Drive satellite wave GPS watches*2. It is capable of receiving time signals in as little as 3 seconds – the fastest GPS satellite signal reception in the world*3 - and the hour and minute hands move rapidly to display the correct time. 

The HAKUTO-R logo engraved on the case backs makes this limited-edition model a truly special timepiece.

There are a few small scratches on the clasp, but nothing else really discernible to the naked eye. The titanium is very hard and scratch resistant.
