AN antique white milk glass or porcelain or crockery container that is marked "THE SANITARY BUTTER JAR". It looks about 2 quarts capacity and is very heavy. It has a grooved rim top like a fruit jar wax sealer, but lid is missing, probably a tin lid or maybe porcelain or glass lid. It is in good condition., no chips or cracks. It measures 7-1/4 inches outside top diameter and is 3-3/4 inches tall. Circa early 1900's.
