Kawase Hasui - "Miyajima in Snow" 1936 - Miniature Vintage Woodblock Print

Offered here is an original older woodblock print by well known Japanese artist Kawase Hasui.  Print sheet measures 5 5/8 x 3 5/8 inches.  Print was made by Hasui in 1936, but not sure about printing date of this one.  It was removed from mid 20th century framing.

Print appears to be in excellent condition and is unframed.

Kawase Hasui (1883-1957)

Hasui is one of the foremost Japanese print artists of the 20th century. His prints are characterized by colorful, realistic images of landscape and Japanese life. He designed more than 700 prints of which most were produced for Watanabe Shôzaburô, founder and leading publisher of the Shin Hanga movement.
