This model retains the thickness and smoothness of the standard Chronos while tuning the distortion components towards a drier direction. The attack and separation of the sound are even clearer, resulting in an open and punchy drive feel. Furthermore, the downsized enclosure positively impacts the sound's breadth and response speed, creating a light and easy-to-handle sound character. This overdrive pedal balances the overall sound through high and low frequency control, maximizing the musical appeal of the midrange. Designed with an emphasis on natural connections between frequency bands, it achieves a three-dimensional, amp-like drive sound without excessive emphasis on any particular frequency range.

It pairs exceptionally well with tube amplifiers, adding natural distortion and rich harmonics while preserving the amplifier's original character and dynamics. Featuring a wide gain range from crunch to lead, it accurately reflects the nuances of picking dynamics and playing style. Furthermore, even when using a transistor amplifier, it delivers an amp-like drive sound with depth and dimension without sounding harsh, making it perfectly suited as a main drive pedal.

The distortion has a finely detailed and well-defined grain, maintaining clear note separation in chord playing and forming a thick, core tone for single notes. It also naturally responds to guitar volume adjustments; turning the volume down produces a clean sound, turning it up produces a crunch, and at full volume up, it delivers a lead tone, allowing for a wide range of tonal shaping simply by adjusting the volume during performance.
