A good starter set of 22 date nails specifically used by the Maine Central Railroad. This is not a complete set of what this railroad used.  Date nails were used by the railroads to identify the year of the placement into service and most railroads used specific nails that would be/could be different than those used by other railroads.  A 33 nail represents the year 1933, etc. These are very collectible and add a nice addition to a railroad artifact collection.

All of these nails are steel and have been cleaned.  All of these nails have raised numbers.  The longest ones are 2.5" long, the shortest ones are 1.5" long.  Numbers in this lot:  33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 40, 41, 42, 43, 43 (variation), 44, 45, 46, 49, 52, 60, 61, 63, 64, 71, 75.  I will plan on shipping these without the foam block. Shipping $7.00
