These appear to be just like Megill’s Spring Tongue Gauge Pins, used in letterpress printing to help hold and position paper on the platen for impression.

These were likely from the 70s or 80s, made as a possible reproduction, modeled after Megill’s - a near exact replication, possibly after the patent expired.

These appear new, in an open plastic box, removed just to photograph. Unlike Megill’s these are not carded in sets of three, nor contain any extra brass tongues. The yellowed cellophane tape shows the age.

Box contains a dozen (12) gauge pins, like the old Megill blue boxes did.

Two boxes are available. Box two is the same, except for the yellowed tape positioning! lol!
