Vintage Mahogany Bedside Cabinet Table - Antique Empire Style Pedestal Cupboard

A vintage bedside cabinet with a small top drawer, lower cupboard and decorative pedestal style base. A useful compact piece, ideal as a bedside table, lamp table, hallway cupboard or occasional storage cabinet. In need of cosmetic TLC.

Constructed from solid wood, likely mahogany or similar, with a deep reddish brown polished finish. The shaped plinth, panelled door and decorative side details give it a traditional look, likely late 20th century reproduction.

Unsure of the exact age, but more than happy to help with any further questions.

Condition
In well used vintage condition. Showing age and use with surface scratches, scuffs, marks, dents and finish wear throughout.

The top shows visible scratches, marks, polish wear, finish loss and surface blemishes. The front, door, drawer and side panels show knocks, scuffs, dents and darker marks, with wear around the edges, plinth and moulded details. The interior drawer and cupboard sections show general age and use. 

The cabinet is missing the decorative front side columns / spindles, with the side recesses now open and visible. The top fittings are still present, but the bottom ones are missing along with spindles.

The cabinet remains usable with practical storage potential, but is cosmetically worn in places.

Would benefit from a good clean and is ideal for refinishing.
