This hand-carved bottle from Thailand. It looks like wood, but it's actually ceramic. It features a metal cap with an elephant finial. There are no markings on the metal. I've seen where some of these bottles say sterling, but I'm not sure I think it is. But it's beautiful with a beautiful patina. I've read that these are wine bottles and were made anywhere from 1800's to mid 1900's.
There is a tiny amount of wear on mouth that the elephant covers up.
Height is about 11" and widest diameter about 4 1/4.
