Jar measures 4 5/8" high and 5 1/2" wide.

It is glazed in a very dark, finely mottled blue and painted with four different men figures ceremoniously dressed. 

Between each male full figure is calligraphy in black on white with a small red painted seal. 

This jar is entirely hand thrown and hand decorated.

The jar is fairly heavy and solid for it's relative small size and weighs 1 1/2 pounds.

Marked to base with double blue circle.

This little jar, vase has been very well cared for and it is in very good antique condition with no chips, no cracks, no scratches, no repair, etc. The lid is missing.

Not a reproduction and appears to be from the late 1800s but I am not an expert.

The last photos 4 were taken outside in bright sunshine which makes the dark blue glaze appear much lighter. Also, the glaze is fairly glossy and very reflective so please excuse the many distracting reflections. 

An absolutely charming piece of historic Chinese decorated porcelain.
