An antique galvanized iron marine lantern circa 1910-20, badged on the front of the base " H. A. J. HELVIG & CO. / MANUFACTURERS / NEW YORK ". The burner is marked " DIETZ CONVEX ". Sold as-is, untested, has patina, some corrosion, some spots of surface rust, no holes. The brass top of the ventilator has lots of dents and a couple small splits. The removable steel fuel font looks like some rust holes have been repaired and painted over, the globe is a " Dietz Fitzall " and is probably a replacement.
