VIB-3 ROTARY CABINET SIMULATOR INTERFACE New

The VIB-3 Rotary Cabinet Simulator Interface is a product from Trek II (trekii.com), designed specifically for Hammond organ users. 

Purpose

It provides a simple, reliable way to interface popular rotary cabinet simulators (such as the Neo Instruments Ventilator or Leslie brand simulators) with Hammond consoles that already have a Leslie 122 (or compatible 122-family) rotary speaker setup. 

This allows the organ signal to be sent to the simulator for processed rotary effect output (e.g., to a PA system or recording setup) while the physical Leslie continues to operate normally. It’s ideal for:

• Churches, institutions, and traveling musicians who want both a real Leslie and amplified/processed rotary sound.

• Backup scenarios (e.g., Leslie failure, cable/mic issues).

• Simple 3-wire organ hookup (connects to the existing Leslie 122 control wiring).

• Audio level trim adjustment for matching output levels.

• Simultaneous control: The organ’s existing tremolo (vibrato/chorus) switch controls both the physical Leslie 122-family cabinet and the simulator at the same time.

• Switching compatibility: Works with standard fast/slow switching; also supports fast/slow/stop with EIS-122 equipped Leslies. 

• Rugged enclosure: Heavy-gauge anodized aluminum, designed for easy mounting (e.g., under the generator shelf or other convenient spot inside the console). 

Connections and Notes

• Audio: Standard guitar-type TS (mono) cable from VIB-3 to the simulator’s input (not included).

• Speed control: Shielded TRS (stereo) cable from VIB-3 to the simulator’s remote/speed input (not included). 

• Power/voltage notes: Behavior depends on the organ’s tremolo control kit. Some kits draw voltage from a “B+ tube adaptor,” allowing full function even without the Leslie connected. Others draw from the Leslie itself, in which case the Leslie must be connected for speed control to pass through properly. Contact Trek II for help identifying your setup.
