About the Comic & Condition Notes
Batman: The Brave and the Bold #13 (released
on May 28, 2024) marks the launch of the anthology series' second year. It
serves as a soft reset for the title, bringing a whole new lineup of multi-part
story arcs alongside the definitive conclusion to Artemis' solo run.
Story 1: "Down the Road" (Part 1)
Creative
Team: Written by Tim Seeley, illustrated by iconic
horror/Batman artist Kelley Jones, colored by Michelle Madsen, and
lettered by Rob Leigh.
Summary:
Nightwing is haunted by a surreal vision of a young woman jumping off a
Gotham bridge, who vanishes completely into thin air when he tries to save
her. Nearly dying in the attempt, Dick Grayson looks into his circus roots
and Romani heritage for answers. He recruits the supernatural help of Deadman,
kicking off a ghostly road trip along the nation's railway lines.
Story 2: "Time Jerks" (Part 1)
Creative
Team: Written by Mark Russell, with art by Jon Mikel,
colors by Mike Spicer, and lettering by Ferran Delgado.
Summary:
The clumsy, fame-seeking Booster Gold inadvertently causes a
colossal, reality-shattering time disaster. Alongside his robotic
companion Skeets, Booster's chronological meddling forces a direct
crossover into an alternate timeline protected by the fan-favorite
prehistoric superheroes of the Jurassic League.
Story 3: "Artemis: The Poison Within"
(Part 3 - Finale)
Creative
Team: Written by Delilah S. Dawson, with art by Serg
Acuña, colors by Matt Herms, and lettering by Dave Sharpe.
Summary:
Artemis’ bloody, long-running solo pursuit reaches its high-stakes
conclusion. Facing down the lethal masterminds behind the underground
online game known as "The Hunt," the Amazon warrior delivers
direct justice while setting up a clean slate for her DC Universe future.
Story 4: "The Invader" (Part 1)
Creative
Team: Written by Joshua Hale Fialkov, with art by Lisandro
Estherren, colors by Patricio Delpeche, and lettering by Becca Carey.
Summary:
channeling the classic "Bwah-Ha-Ha" Justice League era, a
mysterious UFO object streaks out of the sky and crashes directly into the
Gotham woods. Batman suits up in full hazardous radiation gear to
investigate the saucer. When he radios Hal Jordan for Green Lantern
support, the loud-mouthed and unpredictable Guy Gardner shows up
instead.
Story 5: "Perp Walk" (Batman Black
& White)
Creative
Team: Plotted and illustrated by Jason Shawn Alexander,
scripted by Rodney Barnes, and lettered by Tom Napolitano.
Summary:
This atmospheric, black-and-white standalone short story strips down the
superhero grandiosity to look at the raw street-level realities of Gotham
City. The short centers on the quiet psychological tension and exhaustion
that accompanies Batman as he marches a criminal through Gotham's
crime-ridden avenues

About me:
I'm a private collector (not a store); issues are purchased and carefully handled. Upon purchase, I place the issue in a
bag/board, typically have read once, and then store in a short/long box. Over
time I've decided these should be enjoyed by other readers or collectors. I am
not a professional grader, but I have many years' experience in comic grading.
I am confident I've been pretty accurate and the grade is fair.
