Provenance and Ownership :

Supplied by BMW Hereford in January 1997, this E36 was held in single private ownership for its first 26 years and 7 months, which brings benefits that very few other E36 examples can come close to offering. A car kept that long by one owner is upkept on its own merits — serviced and maintained when needed, and preserved because it’s the same valuable asset they purchased new, regardless of depreciation. This results in a car that remains as BMW built it — unmodified, maintained through BMW main dealers and specialists, with an unbroken paper trail of every MOT from its first in 2000 onwards. All manuals are present, as well as the original book pack with a full stamped service history. With an average of only 2, 150 miles per year, every detail points to how well this example has been treated and cared.

Since purchased by the current keeper in August 2023, the same exacting standards were expected and continued, with only a bluetooth head-unit fitted. The car has been garage kept throughout its lifespan, and this can be fully evidenced.

Condition Summary :

The paintwork benefits from a fresh 3 stage machine polish to present at it's best, and the interior has been freshly detailed. Condition is well above any expected standards of a car this age, with no dents, rust of flaws to note. The soft top operates faultlessly — and the electrics are without issue throughout.

There is a valid MOT to 18th December 2026, with a single advisory for an oil leak — this is coming from the cam cover gasket but it's minimal enough to not worth tending to, and has been factored into the pricing. A 2023 MOT advisory noted corrosion on the nearside rear underside — inspected on the ramp, this is surface rust where the factory underseal has lifted with age, nothing more. Underside inspections are actively welcomed.
