Vintage Replogle 16" Library Globe – Circa 1950s

Rare large-format 16-inch Replogle Library Globe made in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Designed and edited by cartographer Gustav Brückmann. This early Cold War–era globe features historical boundaries such as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (U.S.S.R.), French West Africa, Formosa (Taiwan), and Siam (Thailand) — dating it to the early 1950s.

The globe rests on a solid wooden base with a gold-tone finish and includes a metal meridian with a time dial at the top. Perfect for collectors of vintage cartography, academic globes, or mid-century world décor.

Condition: Displays expected wear for its age — light surface scratches, small map lifting, and paint loss on the base (see photos). Globe spins smoothly and is structurally sound.
