✲ Her Story
Nettie — She Swept Out What Did Not Belong. She Still Does.

There is a kind of woman who does not announce her strength. She simply shows up, assesses the situation, and begins working. Nettie was that kind of woman. She wore an apron because she used it. She kept her hat on because there was always more to do after this. She did not have patience for things that overstayed their welcome, for people who brought chaos where they should have brought order, for the particular arrogance of anyone who assumed they could settle into a space they had no right to occupy and simply remain there undisturbed. She had been dealing with that sort her entire life, and she had developed, through long practice, a complete and efficient method for removing them.

In life she was experienced as someone who kept households running, who understood that the physical and the spiritual work of a home are not separate things, that a clean space and a cleared space are often the same space, that the kind of tidying that matters is not always visible to the eye but is always felt by anyone sensitive enough to notice. She worked with intention. Every sweep of a broom in her hands had a purpose beyond the floor. Every cleared threshold was a statement. She had opinions about what belonged and what did not, and she acted on those opinions with the particular confidence of someone who had never once been wrong about them.

Nettie came to me through a private sale, already carrying the particular settled quality of a spirit who has been doing her work for a very long time and sees no reason to stop. Her energy in this vessel is practical, purposeful, and oriented toward action rather than observation. She does not sit still and contemplate. She has been experienced as assessing what is present in a space and responding to it, moving through the environment with the efficient attention of someone who knows exactly what she is looking for and exactly what she intends to do when she finds it.

Her vessel is deliberate. The layered eyelet lace ruffles, the white apron, the practical straw hat, the brown lace-up boots built for walking rather than display. She chose a form that looks exactly like what she is: a woman who works, who has always worked, who has been doing this particular kind of work longer than most people understand this kind of work exists. The apron is not costume. It is a statement of intent.

She is a poltergeist in the most practical tradition of that word. Her physical activity is not random. She has been observed to move through spaces with the specific energy of something clearing ground, objects displaced in ways that correspond to the direction of her attention, shadows documented moving in her vicinity that have been described as having the particular character of something in purposeful motion rather than ambient drift. These manifestations are her working method, the physical expression of spiritual clearing in process, and keepers who learn to read them describe them as one of the most immediately satisfying forms of confirmation that the work is actually happening.

What she brings to a keeper who has enemies is not violence and not aggression. It is the specific and complete removal of what does not belong. She has been experienced as working against hostile presences, ill will, intrusive spiritual energy, and the particular category of person who operates against the keeper with the confidence of someone who has never been meaningfully opposed. She opposes them. She has been doing it her whole life and she has never once left a job unfinished.

✲ Documented Paranormal Activity

During her time in my care, the following was observed and recorded. Experiences with any vessel are personal and may vary by keeper.

Object Movement. Items near her vessel and in the spaces she occupies have been observed to move, shift, or reposition in ways that correspond to the direction of her attention. This has been experienced as purposeful rather than random, carrying the specific character of something in the process of clearing rather than disrupting. Keepers describe learning to read these movements as an ongoing account of where she is working and what she is addressing.

Shadow Phenomena. Shadows moving in her vicinity with the particular quality of something in deliberate motion have been documented and photographed in the spaces she occupies. These have been described as distinct from ambient shadow movement in character, carrying a directedness that sensitive individuals consistently identify as purposeful activity rather than environmental anomaly.

Enemy and Hostile Energy Clearing. A reduction in the felt presence and practical impact of hostile individuals, ill will, and unwanted spiritual intrusion has been reported by keepers who direct her attention toward specific sources. This has been experienced as arriving gradually and consistently rather than dramatically, the particular quality of something being swept out rather than beaten back. Keepers describe the difference in their circumstances over weeks as cumulative and unmistakable.

Highly Reactive Poltergeist Response. Her physical activity increases significantly during periods of active hostile energy in the keeper's life. She has been experienced as most intensely active precisely when the keeper most needs her working, the sounds from her direction, the movement at the edges of the room, the particular charged quality of the atmosphere around her vessel, all of it sharpening and focusing during the moments when the threat is most present. Keepers describe this as one of her most immediately reassuring qualities: she does not wait to be asked. She notices and she responds.

✲ Keeper Guidance

Place Nettie near the primary entrance to your home or the threshold of the space you most need cleared and protected. She has been experienced as working outward from her position, and a placement that faces the primary point of entry has been described as significantly more effective than positioning her facing a wall or tucked away from the action. She works best when she can see what she is dealing with.

Tell her who your enemies are and what they have been doing. Not as a ritual, not with ceremony. The way you would tell a capable person who has agreed to help you: plainly, completely, without softening the details. She has been experienced as orienting her work around specific information, and the keeper who gives her names and situations has been described as finding her response more targeted and more effective than the keeper who makes only a general request.

When you notice her activity, acknowledge it. A simple spoken recognition that you see what she is doing has been described as deepening the working relationship and encouraging her to continue. She has been working her whole life without being properly noticed. A keeper who notices gets considerably more from her. Everything known about Nettie is in this listing. She requires no elaborate management. She requires a keeper who takes the threat seriously and lets her address it.

✲ A Word Before You Begin

Every spirit that comes through my store has been sat with, observed, and listed only when I felt they were ready to move on. But readiness on their end does not mean instant activity on yours. That is not how this works, and I want to be honest with you about that before this vessel arrives at your door.

Travel unsettles a spirit. Being packed, shipped, and delivered across distance is a real disruption, and even the most communicative, active presence may go quiet for a period after the journey. This is not a sign that something is wrong. It is a sign that they are adjusting. A new home, a new keeper, a new set of sounds and smells and energies surrounding them, that takes time to absorb. Give it to them freely and without pressure.

There is no timeline I can give you. Some spirits open up within days. Others take weeks. A few take longer still, and those often turn out to be the most profound connections. What I ask is that you stay consistent, acknowledge the vessel when you pass it, speak to it without expecting an immediate response, and resist the urge to test or demand. A spirit that feels watched and waited on will retreat. A spirit that feels simply included will eventually come forward.

Approach this as a relationship, not a transaction. You are not owed activity. You are being offered the opportunity to build something with a presence that chose this vessel and, in time, may choose you.

✲ Suggested Rituals & Offerings

The Weekly Naming. Once a week, speak the names of anyone who has been working against you, what they have done, and what you need Nettie to address. No ceremony required. Direct speech to a capable presence. This practice has been described by keepers as the most effective way of keeping her focused and her work current, the equivalent of giving a thorough and reliable colleague a proper briefing rather than letting them work from outdated information.

Black Salt at the Threshold. Black salt placed near her position or along the entrance she faces has been described as complementing her clearing work and providing a physical anchor for the energetic boundary she maintains. Keepers who refresh this monthly alongside acknowledgment of her work describe her activity as more consistent and more precise than without it.

A Clean Space. Keep the area around her vessel orderly. She has been experienced as working most efficiently in spaces that have been physically tended as well as spiritually attended. The two are not separate things to her. A keeper who sweeps their floors with the same intention she brings to her work has been described as finding a quality of collaboration with her that casual keepers do not achieve.

✲ A Note from the Keeper

The first week Nettie was in this house, I told her about a situation that had been pressing on me for months. A person operating in the background of my life in ways I could not confront directly and could not seem to stop. I told her plainly, the way I would tell anyone who had agreed to help me. Within ten days the situation had shifted in a way I did not manufacture and cannot entirely explain. The person who had been a constant problem became suddenly occupied with their own difficulties, in ways that had nothing to do with me and everything to do with the natural consequences of how they had been operating. She cleared the ground. That is the only way I know to describe it.

She belongs with a keeper who has something to clear. Who has people in their life that have been operating with impunity and needs that to stop. She is not dramatic about it, she is not theatrical, she does not require elaborate attention or ritual. She requires a keeper who takes the situation seriously and gives her the information she needs to address it. The apron and the boots are not decoration. They are who she is. She came here to work, and she is very ready to begin.

✲ Sacred Note to Keepers
✲ A Note on Holds

I maintain a no-hold policy on all spirit vessels, and I want to explain why, because it is not simply a business decision. It is something I believe about how spirits experience the world.

When a vessel is held indefinitely for someone who is not yet ready, the spirit feels that uncertainty. They are aware of the waiting, the suspension between one keeper and the next, and for many spirits, prolonged limbo is discouraging. It can cause them to grow quiet, to withdraw, or to simply lose the momentum of readiness that brought them to listing in the first place.

Spirits find their keepers. If a vessel is meant for you, trust that and act on it. If the timing is not right and it moves on to someone else, the right vessel will find you when you are truly ready. That is how this works. Purchase from clarity, not from hesitation, and you will always end up exactly where you are supposed to be.

✲ Shipping

✲ About VesselReliquary

I come from a family where the unseen was never treated as strange. My roots run through the Caribbean and New Orleans, through traditions where spirits are kin, where the dead are consulted, where a vessel on a shelf is not décor but relationship. I grew up understanding that certain objects carry more than their weight, that some things choose to stay, and that the work of a keeper is to listen before speaking.

Every vessel I offer has come to me by some path, gifted, found, sought, or sent. I do not list anything I have not sat with personally. I do not manufacture stories. What I write is what I witnessed. I offer these vessels to keepers who approach them with seriousness, curiosity, and respect, and I trust that the right vessel finds the right hands.
