This instrument was recovered directly from a large estate collection of verified 1960s Premier drum gear. During the early-to-mid 20th century, kit drummers frequently utilized traditional folk flutes, whistles, and horns as "sound effects" or "traps" to provide comedic punctuation or unique accents for jazz, dance band, and variety tracks.
