Stunning Antique Hand painted Nippon porcelain plate, featuring vibrantly colored maroon/fuchsia roses with heavy gold accents and a scalloped, beaded rim. Nippon porcelain was made in Japan between 1891 and 1921 for export to the West.  The designs are specifically tailored to American tastes. This piece uses the moriage technique which involved raised enamel beading and raised gold details. The stamp on the back includes a “maple leaf” mark on the base indicating the manufacturer Morimura Brothers.

Condition:  Excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, or scratches.  I cannot seem to capture the beauty of this piece on photos.

Approximate measurements: Diameter 8.75”, Height 1”
