Vintage Shimano Exage 300EX Road Groupset Biopace 170 7s Brake Shifter

Vintage Shimano Exage 300EX silver road groupset lot pulled from a Giant Perigee road bike (per box label). Includes crankset, front and rear derailleurs, caliper brakes, down tube shifters, alloy seatpost and small hardware such as bar plugs and washers as pictured.

Crankset is a double with Shimano Biopace chainrings and 170 mm arms, square taper interface, marked "Shimano Japan VIA 170" and "Shimano Biopace 40" with a yellow and blue "Shimano Biopace For NARROW chain only" decal. Matching Exage 300EX rear derailleur and clamp-on road front derailleur are included.

Shifters are Shimano Light Action / 300EX indexed down tube levers labeled for "7 speed" on the included note. Alloy seatpost is stamped "MAX HT 26.6 TAIWAN G92 SR". Front derailleur is shown on a sizing tool marked "28.6", "29.0" and "29.2" mm. Lot weight on the digital scale display reads "2265 g".

Vintage Shimano Exage 300EX road group removed from a Giant Perigee. Chainrings and bolts have surface rust and grime. Crank arms, derailleurs, brakes and seatpost show scratches, oxidation and dirt; brake pads and jockey wheels show wear. Shifter faces and hardware are rusted. Includes only parts shown, no cables, cassette or bottom bracket. Not fully tested, no obvious flaws found, parts may need some service.
