Coat of arms H62cm, marble carved from different coats of arms, Epoch XVII or earlier

Large finely carved marble coat of arms topped with a knight’s helmet and surrounded by rich lambrequins with harmonious curves. The shield consists of 3 fortified towers, a fleur-de-lys, windblowing baby’s heads and a heraldic lion.

These coats of arms, whose set of sculpted symbols, figures, or colors identified a person or family, or even a city, were used as decorative and architectural elements in buildings.
Integrated into masonry, they testified to the nobility and prestige of the family.

17th century coat of arms, see older, with some wear, grooves and minor gaps.
