Breville Grind Control 12-Cup Coffee Maker - BDC650BSSUSC

We bought this coffee maker to have the grinder attached.  I could never figure out how to grind properly with it.  It grinds way too much coffee.  the customer service had me calibrate it, but I still could not figure it out.  It does make great coffee though.  Hopefully someone has a better understanding to make it work properly.  All of the parts are included as you can see in the photos, including the manual.
