Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.
You are looking at a unique 1970's era Electro Voice 670 model Dynamic Cardioid Microphone with dual Z Impedance setting and great for singing as well as general broadcasting as it was intended. The 670 was an affordable, entry level mic being very lite weight and easy to hold for prolonged periods of time and has a more aggressive look to it. This 670 model mic comes with an original E.V mic clip, new exterior pop filter for enhanced performance and a 16 foot cable in which to operate.
The exterior pop filter is a brand new Auray model that fits the mic like a glove and really helps to clean up the overall sound of the mic. Really helps to keep "pops" to a minimum and looks great on the mic as well. You might not need it for every situation but it's there just in case you do.
Again, the mic is dual Z but the mic is currently Low Z having a warm, smooth tone with just a bit of bass to it. It's a lovely sounding mic with a very strong signal. No issues at all.
You'll see in pic # 2 the standard 670 model with it's basic specs. It should be noted that these 670 models seemed to use less powerful magnets than a standard dynamic microphone. Everyone I have ever tested is about 25% less powerful than a period SM58 mic. Nothing a little gain won't solve though. Just be aware that this is completely normal for these mics.
Again, the mic has been tested, cleaned and works excellent. Everything is tight. No issues.
As you can see in the pictures provided this mic is in very good overall cosmetic condition with typical lite wear. Just a few scuff marks and scratches here and there. Zero dents or fractures in the mics metal body. The on / off switch works perfectly and the two E.V labels look pretty good with lite wear. Completely legible. The mesh grill has zero deformation, odors or discoloration and a new inner foam liner / pop filter was installed as the original was all but gone. The XLR pins were cleaned as well to ensure a perfect signal once the cable is attached. She's good to go.
The mic comes with a nice cable that's 16 feet in length. Soft, pliable and free of damage with just very lite exterior stains. The cable works perfectly. There is a male XLR end connector for use with most audio equipment.
The original E.V black plastic mic clip grips the mic with good tension and works perfectly. The mic clip will pivot up and down as needed with plenty of tension on the joint mechanism. It will screw onto any desk or floor stand you have a s well.
If you want a mic that few others own and will sound great for just about any event you could find yourself in...this 670 will do nicely.
Mic is a very conservative 7 cosmetically speaking on a scale of 1 - 10.
