p for auction is a vintage  Gibson T-Top Humbucking Pickup, being sold strictly as a project, repair, or parts piece. This is an original 1Gibson humbucker featuring the iconic "T" molded right onto the top of the black bobbins. It looks like a previous owner started to work on or troubleshoot this unit, making it the perfect candidate for a professional rewind to restore it to full rock glory, or to harvest for authentic vintage Gibson donor parts.

Regarding the technical condition and measurements, one of the coils is currently dead with an open circuit. However, the remaining single functional coil reads a healthy 3.84K Ohms on a digital multimeter. There is a small, visible spot on this good coil where a soldering iron briefly touched the plastic bobbin during a previous repair attempt.

In terms of hardware and cosmetics, the pickup is missing two of the original fillister pole piece adjusting screws, though the remaining four screws are fully intact. This pickup is being sold open-face and does not include a humbucker cover. The baseplate  is original and all internal parts are original. ;ebut please note that the bottom water-slide decal has degraded over the last 50 years and is pretty much illegible.

Whether you are a guitar tech looking for an authentic vintage rewind project, or a collector needing period-correct 1970s Gibson components like the original magnet, baseplate,to complete an original Les Paul, SG, or ES-335 restoration, this is a fantastic piece of core hardware.

Please examine the high-resolution photos closely to verify the condition, the soldering iron mark, and the missing screws. Sold strictly as-is for parts or repair with no returns. Shipped fast and fully insured.
