This antique cameo from the late 1800's is just gorgeous!  High end and very desirable Doves of Pliny.  From a wonderful estate collection, this cameo was well taken care of and is in excellent condition.  It even still has the high gloss and shine on it!  The cameo is just waiting to be put into a setting and worn.  Would make a gorgeous brooch or necklace.  The cameo is a good size at about 1 and 3/4 inches from top to bottom and about 2 inches across.  The carver of this cameo captured the drinking dove's reflection in the water, which is an important thing to look for when buying Doves of Pliny cameos.  It is such a beauty and even more beautiful in person.
