Exterior Case Panel Cosmetics: Good vintage condition. As a raw solid brass piece, the casing has developed a warm, dark golden honey-toned estate patina. Panels display an honest, uniform matrix of handling micro-scuffs, surface pocket lines, and a few small tarnish lines along the rear rim spine joints (Photo #3). No heavy corner crush lines or edge flattening.
Mechanism & Hinge: The factory internal hinge remains sound and true with minimal side play. Lid pops open cleanly and clicks shut under excellent spring tension. The flint chimney wheel rotates smoothly against the spring plunger mechanism. Features an original period cloth wick wire (Photo #5). Untested with fuel; sold as a premium estate find.
