This listing is for an authentic 1971 Indianapolis 500 commemorative pit badge. This unique shield-style badge was issued during a historic year for both the track and the city.

​Commemorative Design: Features the official Seal of the City of Indianapolis with an eagle holding a scale.

​Anniversary Dates: Clearly marked with 1821–1971 for the City Sesquicentennial and 1911–1971 to honor the 60th anniversary of the inaugural Indy 500 race.

​Numbered Edition: Individually stamped with identification number 4306.

​Reverse Markings: Embossed with "INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY" and the manufacturer's hallmark "BASTIAN BROS CO ROCH NY".

​Surface: Displays an attractive original silver-tone finish with natural aged toning in the recessed areas, which makes the high-relief details pop.
