first off these are original period shelf brackets, not reproduction ones commonly found on ebay, these are aesthetic eastlake victorian circa 1880-1890 range, cast iron, which appears to be original paint , they have scattered surface rust, you could clean these up with a wire brush , personally I would do that and clear coat them this would preserve the look, they will only look like this once ! there very ornate, I didn't see a name on them but I wouldn't be surprised if you found one, there very nice
