Up for your consideration is a vintage Waterford of Ireland crystal jam (or condiment) bowl with a notched lid (for a spoon). It could be used for serving jam, jelly, chutney, relish, or mayonnaise, for example, or even as a sugar bowl. The bowl section has criss-cross cuts that form a grid. The rim has a series of small scallop cuts on the exterior. The undersides of the bowl and lid have 16-pointed star cuts.
The lidded bowl stands 3 1/4 inches tall (to the top knob of the lid), measures 4 5/8 inches across at the widest point, and weighs 1 pounds, 5 3/4 ounces.
The bottom of the bowl is acid etched with the Waterford name. The old Waterford sticker is attached. It reads: Waterford Glass Limited - Handmade in - Republic of Ireland.
The bowl is in excellent, like-new condition, with no chips or cracks. There are no signs of wear or use. The lid is in very good condition, with no cracks. There is a small chip on the notched opening (see the last photos).
