A great arborist jacket for climbing or ground works, or like me just a great heavy duty coat for working in the woods!
Bought to wear on an outdoor project where I was supervising ground based crews in the depths of winter for months. 3 layer fabric is 100% waterproof even on the grimest of wet days. Has a long back so water runs off you rather than into your trousers and abrasion protection to key areas when climbing or ground working. Never been used on the saw and hence not covered in dust and chainsaw debris. Really heavy duty 3 layer fabric. You will have full confidence pushing through undergrowth in this, unlike many 3 layer outdoor walking jackets which tear easily.
The bad bits. Want to be totally transparent so here you are.... photos also attached of these areas
There is a small patch centrally on the chest where the radio harness I wore has bobbled the top layer of fabric. Its cosmetic and on top layer of 3 and doesn't affect any durability or waterproofness.
Top of both arms on the shoulders there is some small patches of what I believe to be clear silicone which I brushed against in a site container when repairing some kit. Its also evident on the hood in a small patch. It looks like resin and is a bit darker. (see Photos) Doesn't show up that much and price reflects this defect. This is a top of the range coat and served me brilliantly for a winter season. it's Heavy duty and very waterproof.
Its got my id on the main inner label, but I've left it intact for its authenticity.
It's a £320 jacket new from the dealers.
