A good starter set of 25 date nails specifically used by the C B &Q Railroad. This is not a complete set.  Date nails were used by the railroads to identify the year of the placement into service and most railroads used specific nails that would be/could be different than those used by other railroads.  A 11 nail represents the year 1911, etc. These are very collectible and add a nice addition to a railroad artifact collection.

All of these nails are steel and have been cleaned.  The 8, 10, 11 and 12 are indented numbers, the rest are raised.  The longest ones are 2.5" long, the shortest ones are 2" long.  Numbers in this lot:  8 (diamond) 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 21, 22, 27, 28, 28 (shorter variation), 29, 30, 31, 31 (shorter variation) 32, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41.  I will plan on shipping these without the foam block.  Shipping USPS Priority:  $12.00
