RHINESTONE (1984)
STARRING SYLVESTER STALLONE & DOLLY PARTON
For sale is an original 1984 One Sheet Movie Poster for the 80's film Rhinestone. It carries the NSS number 840049.
The film features Dolly Parton as struggling country singer Jake Farris who bets her boss at a New York Nightclub that she can turn anyone into a country-western sensation. She chooses a New York cab driver named Nick Martinelli, played by none other than Sylvester Stallone, who was about the biggest star around at the time.
It didn't work out for anyone. When Dolly was asked about the film's failure her response was "Well, I guess no one wanted to see Sylvester Stallone do comedy or me do Sylvester Stallone."
The only thing worse than the movie is the stories of the making of it, which we don't even have to time to tell. Look it up. You won't believe it.
This poster is a gem of a find for any Gen-X movie fan, Stallone fan, Dolly fan or film art collector.
As always, we don't list condition opinions. We are not professional graders, and honestly, we don't have much use for them as condition is highly subjective and the grading services' opinions are about as accurate as anyone else's. The high-res photos we post will let the item speak for itself. You decide the condition. All of my one sheet films posters are original and were used in movie theaters at the time of the film's release. They will virtually all carry the evidence of that usage. The pictures I post are not altered in any way and are usually a good representation of the posters quality and how the poster displays...though everything looks better once its framed.
The most common "defects," present on virtually all of my one sheets, are the obvious machine folds on posters prior to the 1990's as that's how most of the posters were shipped to the theaters. This is not an actual defect and is not considered to be by any collector of film art. Also common, and likely, are edging, small separations at the fold seams, slight wrinkling, minor creases, writing/stamps on the back of the poster, pinholes, discoloration and/or tape marks or paper loss to the back of the poster.
I try to list any MAJOR defects such as tears, writing, tape marks or paper loss to the front of the poster, or major creases outside of the fold lines if they are present.

Rolled posters will be shipped in a sturdy tube, folded posters will be shipped folded and securely with firm backing to prevent damage.

Many individual items such as trading cards, comic books, autographed items and certain collectibles are sent with a proprietary sticker on the protective sleeve that they are shipped in and may be returned ONLY if the item does not match the auction description and ONLY if the sticker has not been tampered with in any way. If the sticker is cut, peeled, reapplied and/or otherwise damaged, the item may no longer be returned.
Any item that is individually numbered or "one of a kind" may be returned provided the request is made within the aforementioned 48 hour window AND the item does not match the description.

Shipping Policy
Domestic shipping, handling, supply costs and everything else are included in the price of all "buy it now" sales.
International Sales shipping is calculated based on location and those sales are handled solely through eBay International and all rules and policies regarding international orders are addressed through eBay. Once an international shipment leaves our hand, its officially in yours.
I don't lie. I don't try to put one over on my buyers. I don't attempt to conceal costs with fake handling costs or exorbitant shipping hikes. Shipping is already exorbitant and shipping supplies aren't cheap, either.
It says FREE SHIPPING. It isn't. It's just included in my pricing.
For all auction items, the winning bidder will pay the listed shipping price as stated in the auction...typically USPS priority mail.
