A rare and elegant pair of Japanese Meiji Period (1868–1912) Satsuma vases with long, slender necks, signed by Tazan. Each vase is finely decorated with detailed scenes featuring baskets filled with apples and other vegetables, surrounded by intricate floral motifs. The design and form reflect the refined artistry and graceful aesthetic of Meiji-era Satsuma ware.
