This is a vintage John Romain straw/seagrass purse.  It has 2 leather handles and a leather flap with a brass turnlock closure.  The John Romain signature logo is inside.  The interior features a small pocket and is lined in leather on the 2 long sides and bottom (the 2 short sides are seagrass).  It shows signs of aging and the straw appears dry, but all rivets, foot pads, and straps are present.  The way it is designed, it does not open very wide. It will stand on its own, but does so at a slant/angle. See photos for condition.
