This is a complete in box pokemon Gold USA version for the gameboy color, in very good condition, including all authentic nintendo original components:
- Outer Box in very good
- Authentic Nintendo cartridge in near mint / minty
- Original Cartridge Bag
- All manuals and inserts
- Original card tray
While I provide my own assessment of condition, I understand that everyone has different opinions. So please study the pictures and below description carefully to help you make your decision.
Cartridge:
Lovely near mint condition. Label is virtually pristine, as shown in pictures. Rear has some very slight usage marks but broadly near mint / minty condition.
Genuine Nintendo cartridge. Verified through physical checks of motherboard and digital verification process using an Epilogue GB Operator. As fakes have become more sophisticated and ubiquitous I take this verification process seriously, and include multiple pictures of positive identifiers on the cart and motherboard.
Cartridge is tested and working, including save function. Also given it a thorough refurbishment - checked all connections and given motherboard and pins a careful clean. Have also installed a brand new, high quality Panasonic save battery - avoiding the risk of chemical instability, short operating life, and leaks that all come with cheap generic marketplace batteries.
Card tray insert:
Very Good condition, Nintendo original.
Manual, leaflets and poster inserts:
All Nintendo original, and all in Very Good to near mint condition.
Box:
In higher end very good condition for its age, with only some very minor wear - notably, a ding to the lower edge of front face. And some light scratching and an indentation line across the back. As well as very very slight lightening to the colours printing on the top flap. Otherwise just some general, very light shelf wear, minor lifting / fuzzing to the edges of some inner card tabs. Becoming harder and harder to find GBC era pokemon games with a box in condition this nice!
