This is a stunning piece of artwork, hand painted onto a white tile.
The artist, Marge Woods, has captured the barn owls stare and stoop, watching and listening out for potential prey.
The background has been painted in muted colours, in contrast to the barn owl who is far more detailed, with areas highlighted in black to emphasise the details, and to bring the barn owl into the foreground.
It is very well made, and the frame is mounted and ready to be hung on the wall. Considering the artwork is on tile, the piece isn't too heavy, and the back of the frame has been fortified with cardboard.
The frame itself is in very good condition. There are, however, a few scuff marks to the top and right side of the frame. It doesn't detract from the beauty of the artwork. You could easily reframe, sand down the wood, or paint over if you wished.
The rectangular frame is 25cm across, and 30cm in length. The frame is about 1cm thick.
